An extension of GCFSI's Translational Scholars Corps program, this project will benefit Malawi students and faculty at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, providing them with training in agricultural reporting and videography.
Project Lead: David Poulson
An extension of the Translational Scholars Corps program, this project will benefit Malawi students at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). This component would support LUANAR’s BSc degree in agricultural communications.
One specific training activity would be to offer the online “telling your research story” class to students and faculty at various university locations in Malawi and possibly in other countries in the region, with suitable adaptation to local conditions.
Site visits by MSU communications faculty and senior TSC students will be organized to provide more detailed, hands-on training in videography and opportunities for students to produce videos and webinars related to food systems innovations. This will enhance student engagement in the Malawi Innovation Hub and help build the skills of LUANAR faculty.
