This workshop will begin with the screening of the Sailor Moon Super S Special.

Erica Friedman

Japanese pop culture specialist, will then lead a discussion about translation issues related to this anime in concert with new edition of The Rose of Versailles. Participants will be invited to think deeply about such key issues as gender, status, formality, idiom, and slang through layers of languages.
